What was your favorite candy when you were a kid, and what is your favorite candy now?
Peppermints…preferably strong English ones, though I’ll settle in a pinch.

I also like dark chocolate in very small doses, properly made caramel, and the Ghirardelli peppermint bark based on dark chocolate, which thankfully only comes out around Christmas time, and is available in individually wrapped servings so I can control my intake of the stuff.

As a child, I liked starlight mints and candy canes, dinner mints, and a soft red and white sort of puffed peppermint that you can still get occasionally. I have had a tub sitting on top of my fridge for a few years now, and I eat a couple here and there. They are good, but overpoweringly sweet.
