It’s not a new thing that a great nation like Nigeria which is a giant of Africa is going through the devastation of economic breakdown because the government and nation believe in oil wealth whereas they many other mineral resources that the government and the people have underestimated.

Back in the 50s and 60s the country was doing well before the discovery of petroleum, They were benefiting from agriculture especially but now the nation has chosen to abandon it and embrace oil wealth.
